Our first responsibility is the band members. We do our best as chaperones so they can do their best as band members. Our duties include supervising band practices, football games, fundraisers, band trips and other events as needed. The Peachtree Ridge Band Handbook contains information that is essential to work with our band members. All chaperones must be approved by the Band Director before they can serve as Chaperones and you must verify that you have been trained each year in order to be approved.

Announcement: The 2008-2009 name badges will be distributed as you are signed up for duty starting with the game on August 29th. Any questions call Judy 678-407-0625 or email above.

New Chaperones: Initial chaperone training is always to be taken in person in a classroom setting. The training is conducted by the Chaperone Committee and will be offered periodically before the first football game. Once trained the chaperone can be certified to be accepted for that year. After completion of classroom training and certification the first year, the returning chaperones may be re-certified by reviewing the current year Handbook and completing the on-line verification form. They are not required to repeat the classroom training but if desired, the classroom training can be re-taken for re-certification. Once certified (trained and approved) you can sign up for chaperone duty. Please take a look at the PRBBA band calendar to see which dates you are available to serve. We need at least 4 chaperones for practices and 8 for football games. Each trip (competitions, etc.) also will need at least 8-10 chaperones. Keep in mind that many hands make light work, especially on the road! You can email the chaperone committee to put your name on the schedule, or soon you will be able to sign up on-line. The On-Line Chaperone Sign-up Book is ALWAYS ready!

Thank you for being a part of the Roaring Lions Band Program!

Returning Chaperones: Step 1: Please read the current Handbook to be sure you know the procedures. Step 2: Click to Re-Certify.
